DAY CARE SITE & FACILITY

ABC Huskies Child Care has been located at 920 Fulton Street in Wasco, Oregon, since 1998.  The facility came to be as the result of a collaborative effort between the Sherman County School District who provided the property rent free for several years, the Sherman County Commission on Children and Families who provided significant financial support to help with operational costs and local parents who saw a need for child care in Sherman County.  And so the Sherman County Child Care Foundation, Inc. was established.

Originally a rental home, the facility was in need of much "tender loving care".  After a very successful fundraising campaign. the Child Care Foundation was able to purchase and renovate the property in 2007 creating a more functional, child friendly environment for ABC Huskies Child Care.  Since that time, additional fundraising has made possible additional improvements to the property.

Today, ABC Huskies has a totally renovated interior with an open floor layout, modern kitchen, child sized bathroom, commercial grade vinyl plank floor covering, new furnace with heat pump for heating and air conditioning, new vinyl windows, added insulation, new vinyl siding, metal roof, expanded playground area, irrigation system and well maintained grounds.
